A private medical college student in Durgapur, West Bengal, is at the center of a gang rape investigation. The victim, who is in her second year of medical studies, hails from Odisha.
So far, no arrests have been made in connection with the case, but police have detained one of the student's classmates for questioning.
In response to the incident, the West Bengal health department has requested a report from the medical college regarding the matter.
